It is a good morning!  I awoke full of anticipation that there would be another message from you, and you didn't let me down. I wrote my last one late last night, and didn't expect to hear back from you until today, so don't worry, I didn't feel like you were remiss in the slightest.

I love learning more about your culture - it's fascinating to me that your college has a cafe for student's Internet usage, rather than a computer center or a library.  Since you are using it as a job placement tool, you should think they'd make other resources available;  24/7 - the resources I mentioned, or a career development center, for example. You might pass along the suggestion.

I don't know if having ideas for other people is really intelligence - I just see things, and next thing you know, I'm opening my mouth and words come out. These are not good traits for a successful slave, but I'm sure they taught that in Slavery 101. They did in my slave college, but I didn't listen!

I'm very touched by your belief in me. It hasn't always been this way in life, my parents advised me to not over reach my limited capabilities, and I have to admit it hurt a little bit when they told me they gave me a name with only 4 letter words (Matt Alan Love), so I wouldn't have to struggle too hard to remember my name. 

However, despite it all, I have made something of myself, and perhaps after you get to know me better, you can tell me what it is, because I'm not sure myself, and I'd really like to know!

I have to be a little stern with you, my sweet slave; I asked you for pictures first, and you didn't send them, and now you are asking me for pictures. I regard that as a breach of protocol, but I will let it go this time. I have to admit, going through my files and picking out the best, most representative pictures was fun. I hope you take similar pleasure in returning the favor. 

I've arranged the pictures in chronological order, starting with the very first picture ever taken of me.

01 I call it "Matt's Emergence." It's from a long time ago, my family couldn't even afford color film!  Certainly long before digital photography.

02 Here is a picture of me as an infant, in the arms of my doting older sister Isabella, just a toddler at a time. A remarkable woman, she now lives in Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil where she runs a Mexican restaurant!  I know it's strange, but it really does make sense.

03 - here is a picture of me from my first successful band, a synthrock trio with Nigel Simmons and George Carillo (who always appeared in a purple dinosaur suit) called Pet Rock.

04 - We were the first western synthrock band to play in China. Language barriers created difficulty, here is a picture of me in a rather stressful situation. We laughed about it together afterwards. Ah, the power of music to bring people together!

05 After the 80s, synths fell out of fashion, and guitars came back, thanks to bands like Nirvana and so forth. I flowed with the changes, it was fun to just rock out again - this is a picture of me with my band Grimy Britches.

06 I next spent a period of time exploring my ghetto heritage, as some genealogical research revealed my Irish ancestry, and the role an ancestor of mine had played in the New York gang scene at the Five Corners.  Here's a picture of me relaxing at the end of a hard day of rapping.

07 Out of all the things I recorded, this is the one that stays with me, that I feel closest too. I've still got 13 boxes of CDs in the other room, ha!  That was a joke, did you get it?

08 This picture of me was taken in a Zen monastery. I got tired of the materialism of rap, the bling, the senseless violence. I wanted to learn detachment form earthly desires.  Some interesting trivia: it's the same monastery that Leonard Cohen retreated to!

09 I returned to civilian life for a while, living in the suburbs in Edmonton, in Canada.  This is a picture of me having a little harmless fun with a neighbor lady.  I moved pretty soon after that.

Now I'm back in the US, working again with a new team of skilled musical specialists. We call ourselves "The Metaluna Mutants."

I stay at home most the time when I'm not gigging. When I'm not songwriting, I'm putting together advertising jingles. I'm currently working on one for Shitbegone, a popular colon cleansing product. It's advertised on TV here, it could be a big break!

I shall write a song about Nigerian stout!  Can you tell me the name of a popular brand?  Maybe if I write a song about a particular brand, they will be interested in using it in their advertising.

My plans concerning your securement are this:  The Metaluna Mutants and I will have a fund raiser - or many - to secure your exit from the college, and your passage to my community. 

I am also looking into starting a Kickstarter campaign. People have raised money for amazing things with Kickstarter, to purchase the personal services of a slave just might be a first - and the novelty of it would guarantee a lot of attention, and success, I should think.

Hello, Able Slave!

What a very interesting and enlightening conversation we are having.  I am learning so much about so many things from you... about you specifically, and cultures, and life in general.  I am sorry to hear that you are in school in preparation for a way of life that is not the one you would prefer for yourself.

In my country, people begin to prepare to be slaves from the time they are little babies, and they don't dare to hope for or imagine much of anything else.  Many dream that if they are effective slaves, they will some day be able to earn their freedom and be promoted into the position of Master, but little do they realize that our society isn't just divided up into two layers, but actually many layers, and the Masters have higher masters, and those masters have masters, and it's just masters all the way up, and slaves all the way down. Everybody has to kiss the ass of the person that's standing on their shoulders, while they drop their shit down on the people who they are standing on, and it's an unpleasant system for almost everybody.

I know that I am exceedingly lucky at present to neither be a master or a slave - it was entirely a matter of luck on my part, not any virtue or skill that I might have at my disposal.

The story of your personal life is a sad one - very much like that of Pete Townsend, of the rock group The Who, are you familiar with them?  He too was left in the care of his grandmother at an early age - she was mentally ill, and it created problem in him that he has grappled with for a lifetime. If it's any comfort, his struggles connected with issues an entire generation was going through, his music provided comfort to many young people in a time of upheaval (I was one of them) and now in his old age, he has found peace and contentment. So I hope it will work for you; that you will not have to wait until you are old to be free, but to find a creative and rewarding way to achieve economic freedom while you are young.

I have had a good day, I have composed some music, recieved a finished arrangement of one of my pieces from a collaborator in Greece (please listen to it here, and let me know if you like it: https://soundcloud.com/egregious/the-egregious-overture) and advised another Nigerian friend, currently teaching in Côte d'Ivoire, on how he might be able to persuade his institution to form alliances with schools in other countries, and try to get some infusions of cash going.

My favorite color?  That is an interesting question. All the colors of the spectrum have their place... however, in my mind, Blue = C Major - all other notes and colors, at least my understanding of them, flow out of Blue and C Major so I think I would have to say blue is my favorite also. A close second would be Green, which I relate to G Major, the key I most often compose in.

Do I take alcohol? What makes you ask that, have you been looking at my Facebook profile? Are you on Facebook? I can assure you, like Dean Martin and Foster Brooks, I talk about drinking a lot more than I actually do it!  I worked on a fun song about the Brazilian drink cachaça with my friend Leo (from Sao Paulo, Brazil) and the rapper, Badboy J (an American, from Arkansas). As my friend Lulina posted on Facebook today: According to the taxi driver who brought me to work today: "life is an illusion. Nothing that we have really belongs to us, since we are away and things get out there, to be used by others. Nothing is our truth. We just have to take care of each day, to be kind and loving with each other and act on the basis of that wisdom, letting go of material things". Just when caught a taxi driver so, don't fall into any transit and the race ended up being much faster than normal. A pity.

Thank you for addressing the college expense issue, it doesn't seem like a terrible lot to pay.  I might be able to afford more slaves, but if not compelled to take them now, probably won't. Reading between the lines, it sounds like you aren't currently entangled, so I'll leave it at that, with just one more question:  is there a group discount if I wanted to order multiple slaves?

It's very interesting that you attended a slave school in Nigeria.  Your profile says you are from Houston, Germany. Why did you decide to go to Nigeria for slave school rather than one in your home country?  Does your school have an international reputation?  I suppose it must, to have attracted a top shelf student such as yourself. It pays to get the best education possible; my multiple slave schools could just never stamp out the rebellious spirit. I came tanitizingly close to shedding it forever my last few months of slavery in state government... but had to leave for personal reasons, and found the old rebellious spirit back, and in such full force I haven't been able to submit to slavery since.

Not that I have anything against the institution of slavery.  No, indeed, every day I enjoy the fruits of various slaves' labors. Without slaves there could be no masters.  While it's nice to get things other masters' slaves have made, if I had a slave of my own, I wouldn't be so reliant on other people, and their slaves, and that's a laudible goal, don't you think?  Thomas Jefferson had the right idea - All men are created equal, but the right men get the edge by having slaves!

Thank you for recognizing my essential simplicity, I have to say you are a keen observer of the human condition, I hope that sagacity doesn't lead you to opinions and conclusions that cause you to experience dissatisfaction with your state, as it then becomes very difficult to be a slave (after you've invested all this time and money into the program!). Take it from me, I know how thinking leads one to perform poorly as a slave!  As my mother used to say to me, 'Elwood' -- she always called me Elwood, which is odd, because that's not my name -- 'Elwood, in this world you must be oh-so clever, or oh-so simple.' For years I was clever. I'd recommend simple -- and you may quote me.

How does one go about paying the securement fees - do they accept PayPal? 

Oh, I just remembered another question I have - does your slave school have a website?  I just thought it might be interesting to kind of look it over and get a general feel for what it's like... and could you tell me if they are accredited by the AACSS International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Slavery? I think that's the main accrediting body for institutions of this kind.

So great to hear from you again! I appreciate your urgent attention to my communiques, that bodes very well. However, I feel I would like to get to know you better before you become my in-residence slave, though it seems I have known you for a lifetime, in fact I must remind myself that we have only just met today.

I would like very much to find out more about you.  For example, could you send me a picture of yourself?  You assure me that you are tall & leggy, but I want to make sure that you are tall enough to reach an ironing board, and a sink.  I would prefer it if my slave didn't have to stand on a stepstool or a pile of books in order to fry me up a bunch of eggs, just as a safety and aesthetic issue.

Also, can you provide me with a transcript of your course work with the Slave College?  I would just like to verify your successful completion of courses in Ironing, Sock Folding, and Music Appreciation.

I'm a little concerned that you said you enrolled in Slave College at the age of 19 and you are still attending, but your profile says that you are 26 now.  That seems like quite a long time to remain an undergraduate student. I personally spent 5.5 years as an undergraduate when I attended Slave College, so I am not judging you, but it raises questions.

Probably the main reason it took me so long to complete my studies was that I was in a disruptive relationship. I am concerned this might be the situation with you, also. I'll want to know if you'll be bringing a husband or a boyfriend along, and if that's the case, are they suitable slave material also? I could probably accomodate that. Of course, I might have them working out the cotton field while you were working up in the house. They also must be keen fans of music, having a disposition towards graceful rhythmic motion, and skills in the percussive arts would be a plus.

I think that there's nothing that I would like better than to go down to the slave quarters with my gitfiddle in hand, and sing a few of my more rousing toe-tappers (such as this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWHfbryRIqE) while the help accompany me on the bones, the washboard, the spoons, adding weirdly yowled harmony to my own dulcet voice...  yes, that does have a certain appeal, for sure.

But I'm getting ahead of myself, I really don't know that this is what you bring to the table.

Let's continue the dialogue, but so I will have something to think about, please advise, what magnitude of securement fees are we talking about here?

I'm very impressed that you wrote back to me so quickly, it seems you have learned the lessons of customer service well in Slave College!

It's funny, I attended 4 different slave college before I graduated with my BA in slavery.  I worked as a slave for the government for a quarter of a century, and though it was not in any way rewarding, I still attempted to get my Masters Degree in Slavery from yet another institution of higher slavery. Clearly, the spirit was willing, but the flesh was weak! My ability to withstand huge amounts of pain, agony and torture with doses of humiliation and degradation tossed in for good measure cannot equal yours, and eventually I got out of the slave business entirely.

The thought has occured to me that it might be fun to have a slave of my own.  Back when I was a slave for the government, I rose to the status of head slave of a work unit. However, the slaves beneath me rose up in revolt because I was too lenient. I would not want a repeat of that experience. You clearly are seeking a master with a firm hand, perhaps a firm hand holding a riding crop.  

I should think I might benefit from yet another return to college, only this time seeking a degree in preparation to become a Master. A Masters Degree in Mastery - I think that would suit me!  What do you think?  Do you have any suggestions on a good place to go to study for that?

I am extremely pleased that home chores are not even an issue for you at all - that is what I was mostly looking for, but your ernest desire to do greater acts of servitude has touched me deeply, and forced me to dig a little deeper into my mind and my heart (with an ice pick), and search for sterner stuff.  I have thought of something else my wife won't do for me that is certainly more pain inducing, and therefore possibly more rewarding for one such as you.

I want a slave who will listen to my music and say, "Oh, Master, what a wonderful song, so full of mean chords and silly lyrics!  How do you come up with this stuff?"

Hey Yinka, 

It's wonderful to be hearing from you, thanks for getting in touch.  I've been looking for an able slave like you for a long time.  

There are certain painful things that my wife will simply not do for me.  Things I crave, and passionately desire.

For example, she won't iron my shirts. How I long for the stylish, smooth surface of a well-ironed shirt against my skin.  I actually do all the laundry at our house, and I find it particularly painful to match up the damn socks, and then role them up together in pairs. Can you handle that baby? Is that painful enough for you?

I also do all the cooking, and I'm totally sick of my own concoctions. How would you like to work your fingers to the bone, chained to the stove for 15-20 minutes at a time!  Does that make you hot?
