This post is a very sketchy record of my first fact-to-face encounter with B Movie script writer and scholar, and Ed Wood memorabilia archivist Leslie Morris. We had a pleasant downtown Melbourne pub crawl, and spoke of many things.
Here we are looking very festive, after a couple of Melbourne Bitters, some cider and Amber Ale, and after splitting a pitcher of Tiger. I wanted to test the theory that the room spins in the opposite direction when you get drunk in the southern hemisphere.
Some views of an extremely funky and cool bar, which would not have been at all out of place in Sao Paulo. Very cool music was listened to, and bitters were consumed.
The view from this rooftop bar was pleasant, both near and far away. Cider and amber ale was downed here. They have a screen upon which they show movies in the summer. It must be spectacular to watch movies here under the southern cross, on top of the bottom of the world.
Our last stop, a Japanese themed bar, had a placid Buddha Bar ambiance, while the bathroom offered the illicit thrill of pissing on buxom female anime characters in the urinals. A pitcher of Tiger, and we wisely decided to call it a day.
